I’m a software developer and IT teacher based in Buenos Aires. I worked professionally in software for around fifteen years, mostly on existing web and mobile products. Since late 2023, my primary professional work has been teaching Information Technology.

I continue to develop software through educational, institutional and personal projects, and I’m now returning to professional software development alongside teaching. I’m available for part-time remote software work on a contract or freelance basis, with collaboration that can be mostly asynchronous.

Experience

From 2008 to 2023, I worked continuously as a software developer across web, desktop and mobile systems. Much of my experience was in back-end development, databases, APIs and integrations, while the work became increasingly full-stack over time.

I mostly worked on existing products and systems, from logistics and mobile-content platforms to surveys, healthcare and online communities. The work included understanding existing behavior, defining technical approaches, implementing and testing changes, working with data and migrations, and following changes into production when needed.

Software development

I developed web and desktop applications, including logistics and distribution systems. Technologies included C#, ASP.NET, Visual Basic and SQL Server.

I worked on web and mobile systems for subscription, distribution and download of digital content, including APIs, integrations and SQL-backed application work. Technologies included Android/Java, C#, ASP.NET, Angular and SQL Server.

I worked on web and mobile products across surveys, healthcare and online communities, in distributed teams working in English. I joined Manas with a stronger back-end background and gradually worked across more of the stack, including substantial front-end work in later years. On Surveda, where I worked for several years, work often began with a product need rather than a prescribed implementation: clarifying scope, investigating the codebase, defining a technical approach, implementing and testing changes, and following them into production when needed. The work included APIs, integrations, database changes and migrations. The projects involved JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, Python, Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL and Flutter/Dart.

My current development work spans institutional tools, educational software and this site.

Small tools for institutional needs, including a bulletin-generation tool I developed and continue to maintain for CFP No. 7.

Web and software projects for classes and technical training, combining development work with teaching.

This professional site is a versioned static project built with Astro and TypeScript.

Teaching and technology education

I teach Information Technology in Buenos Aires City secondary schools and serve as Head of IT Training for CFP No. 7’s secondary IT track.

At CFP No. 7, I coordinate the IT track’s vocational training and its integration with the general secondary curriculum, and teach courses in systems architecture, web interfaces and final projects.

I design my own materials and teach through practical projects in programming, web interfaces, HTML, CSS, GitHub and web publishing.

From 2019 to 2020, while working professionally in software, I also taught introductory programming, persistence and user interfaces in UNAHUR’s University Programming Technician program.

Background

Academic foundation

I studied at Colegio Nacional de Buenos Aires, a five-year pre-university secondary school of the University of Buenos Aires. Its broad, demanding curriculum remains an important part of my intellectual foundation.

Systems

I graduated from Universidad del Salvador as an Information Systems Analyst.

Across disciplines

My academic path also included the UBA’s Ciclo Básico Común, where I completed ten courses across several disciplines, followed by several years studying Veterinary Medicine, later coursework in Literature, and teacher training in Biology. I’m currently completing pedagogical training at IES Juan B. Justo, with 12 of 15 course units completed.

Working together

I’m available for part-time remote software work with collaboration that can be mostly asynchronous. I’m open to contractor or freelance arrangements.

I’m comfortable joining an existing system, clarifying the problem with product and technical stakeholders, learning the codebase and taking responsibility for a focused area of work. I tend to work carefully, using tests and other checks to understand existing behavior and reduce the risk of regressions. A focused first piece—such as a feature, bug fix, integration or data task—can be a practical way to start and build from there.
